Set against the dramatic backdrop of June 1944, Brixham Harbour becomes a centre of secrecy and preparation as Operation Overlord gathers pace. Landing craft fill the harbour, American troops move throughout the South West, and amidst the tension and uncertainty, intelligence uncovers a terrifying threat against Winston Churchill himself.
As the evening unfolds, guests will become part of a gripping wartime mystery where espionage, suspicion and intrigue collide. Can the plot be uncovered before history changes forever?
Performed by the multi-talented “Murder by Midnight”, this unique live performance combines suspense, humour, audience interaction and immersive theatre within the intimate surroundings of The Chart Room.

With Torbay playing a vital role in the D-Day preparations, our harbours and hills once echoed with the footsteps of thousands of American soldiers training for the greatest seaborne invasion in history.
This year, on the anniversary itself, we’re bringing that wartime tension into The Chart Room First Class Coffee Lounge for our 5th Murder Mystery Night — and if the previous four sell-out evenings are anything to go by, this will be our most atmospheric experience yet.
Set in the early days of 1944, Operation Overlord plunges you into a world of spies, coded threats, and rising danger as Churchill’s safety hangs in the balance. Performed by the brilliant team at Murder by Midnight, expect suspense, twists, and characters that will keep you guessing all evening.

About Murder by Midnight
This experienced and charismatic company, based in Plymouth, bring a fully immersive and interactive theatre experience to your table. With audience participation encouraged, you’ll be able to question the suspects, piece together the clues, and maybe even solve the crime.

Prizes will be awarded for the Best Dressed Passenger, and of course, for the cleverest sleuth who solves the mystery.
